Thank you for finding our website and taking a moment to read about us.

We are an independent bookshop, selling new, second hand and collectable books, established since 1977. We do business with all parts of the world and are happy to receive telephone and e mail enquiries. If you are able to, please do visit the shop itself, to see for yourself the wide range of stock, enjoy the lovely bookshop smell and a chat with any of our knowledgeable and helpful staff.

We have author events and signings and two book groups meet each month in the shop.

We are delighted to be one of the lucky recipients of a James Patterson award to Independent Bookshops.

Author and champion of bookshops, Patterson has given the Booksellers Association £250,000 to award as grants to any bookshop with a dedicated children's section. We submitted a proposal with costings and we were fortunate to be awarded the full amount that we asked for. We are hoping that the award will facilitate some children's events in the garden in the summer and maybe more child friendly furnishings in the children's bookroom.
