About the Old Hall Bookshop...

We have been selling new, secondhand and rare books since 1977. We pride ourselves on our knowledge and service. If you are trying to source a book or map, in print or out of print, please email us or call with as many details as you have, with your contact details, and we will do our best to track down a copy. If we do not have the book in stock, we can usually obtain a copy next day. Some of our rare titles are listed on ABE; most are not. We try to hold a good stock of Northamptonshire material.

Visit us! We are located in a wonderful Queen Anne building on Brackley Market Place, plenty of free parking and very easy to get to from the M1 or M40. Open 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Saturday (closed bank holidays and sometimes the odd Saturday lunchtime - 'phone to make sure).

Join the Old Hall email list; currently around 400 people receive an infrequent email bulletin with details of local author events, local books and sometimes special offers. This is an "opt-in" list, and we do not divulge details to any third-party. Just email the shop with your request.

We buy books! If you have an interesting collection, or are just having a clear out, give the shop a call; we are always looking for good quality books, in good condition. Please make an appointment before bringing books in!

Professional credentials: we are an independent shop, and belong to the BA, ABA, ILAB-LILA and PBFA.

Read what some of our customers have said about us, as featured on the Guardian guide to the best independent bookshops... (search down for the Old Hall).
